Jason Suggs

Jason Suggs has grown up with the outdoors in his blood. As a child and teenager, his family managed two different hunting plantations. He cut his teeth scouting and preparing for deer hunts, while also guiding quail hunts and fishing trips. The experience he gained first hand was invaluable.

His interest in the outdoors wasn’t focused primarily on guiding for others. Jason is an accomplished hunter in his own right. He still recalls being taken into the woods in search of whitetail by his dad and his preacher at an early age. He was only 10 years old when he took his first deer and was hooked for life.

Bow hunting was also something Jason began at an early age. He thrives on the higher degree of difficulty and also the competition with the animal that bow hunting brings. His first bow kill came at the age of 14. He took a nice 8 pointer.

After graduating high school, Jason left South Georgia to attend college at the University of Georgia. He majored in Wildlife Forest Resources with an emphasis in Game Management. While in school, he was active on the UGA Rodeo Club riding bulls. He also used his knowledge to guide deer,                                                                  quail, and turkey hunts at a local plantation.

He returned to his hometown in South Georgia where he now resides with his wife Livvy. Jason put his years of experience and knowledge to use by taking a job with Southern Forestry Consultants as an Associate Forester and GIS Analyst. His area of expertise includes land management for private, government, and industrial forestland. The land management includes many different avenues such as to write and deploy forest and wildlife management plans that may involve areas ranging from game management to endangered species recovery programs. Land and track mapping are also a large part of his job.

Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Unlimited Outdoors. He shares our strong faith and morals. We are privileged to have him on board with us.
