Ryan Weaver

rw1rw2Ryan Weaver started hunting small game with his dad at a young age. It was then that he fell in love with being in the outdoors. He branched out from hunting small game to become interested in hunting deer and turkey. He was venturing out into uncharted territory because his dad did not hunt big game. With no one to teach him the ropes, he had to learn things on his own.

He began to read every magazine and book he could get his hands on, as well as, picking the brains of any hunter he would come across. But his biggest teacher was the outdoors itself. Through experimentation and trial and error, Ryan developed and honed his skills in the woods. Having put in so much work and passion into teaching himself, he gained a deeper love                                                                                      for God’s great outdoors.

There are so many great memories Ryan has that involve the sport of hunting. For him, some of the greatest ones involve taking people hunting for the first time. He enjoys passing on to someone something that means so much to him.

rw3rw4As were many Americans, Ryan was deeply effected by the events that happened on September 11, 2001, and also by the growing war on terror. Being an unmarried man with no kids, he felt convicted to help defend this great country. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in January of 2004, and spent the next five years in service of our country.

For most of his service, he was attached to the Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron HMLA 167, which was comprised of Super Cobra attack helicopters and Huey utility helicopters. He had many deployments including three tours in Iraq. His work ethic did not go unnoticed, and he rose to the rank of sergeant.

Upon his completion of service, Ryan went to work for a government contract company focusing on military aviation projects. His passion for the outdoors is as strong today as it was when he was a child. He continues to travel the country in chase of big game. His drive, loyalty, and honesty add a great deal to Unlimited Outdoors.
